Trendwatch: Minimalist Luxe

If you, like so many brides these days, are finding yourself in a Pinterest-fuelled downward spiral of design ideas and detail options for your wedding day, then you are going to love this new wedding trend.

Modern minimalism with a luxury feel. This design concept is about stripping back, doing a few things really well, and forgetting about the rest. It's clutter free and clean, and we love it.

Clean lines and simplicity, often very muted colours or white with a metallic or green touch. Letting the day speak for itself rather than letting the decor become overbearing.

This design is very much about quality over quantity, putting the emphasis back on the important areas like good food, good music and a good time.

We love the emphasis on modern, straight-to-the-point fonts which are so refreshing!

Wedding Trendwatch: Greenery

In 2016 Pantone declared the blend of Rose Quartz and Serenity as the colour of the year to represent mindfulness and well-being as an antidote to modern day stresses, as well as fulfilling our yearning for reassurance and security. At which point 2016 clearly thought it would have a laugh and give us perhaps one of the most unreassuring years in history – nice one mate.

And so 2017 begins with the repercussions of the previous year and a new colour to symbolise new beginnings (whether it’s the ones we wanted or not). Luckily for us, the new colour is a bloody good one that works in many ways, so in 2017 you can be on trend without even trying.

Introducing Greenery...

From the strong to the subtle, there are loads of different ways to incorporate this trend into your day, head over to our Pinterest for more inspo but below are just a few of our greenery favs.

Geode Overload Wedding Trend

The latest wedding cake trend 'rocking' the industry is these stand out geode wedding cakes. Filled with coloured sugar crystals these cakes look like an amethyst is in the middle of it just waiting to be discovered.

The concept was originally developed by Intricate Icings, sorry non US residents they're based in Colorado, but there are some great versions by other talented cake makers. Have a look at some of our favourites below and save a copy to show to your baker!
