We’re Not That Kind of Wedding Planner (why venues actually love working with us 🏩)

When we walk into a venue for the first time, we’re often met with a raised eyebrow and a cautious smile. We get it - some wedding planners have built a reputation for being clipboard-wielding control freaks who steamroll suppliers, talk over the in-house coordinator, and demand things that break every rule of the building.

In fact, this whole scenario is how Rhiannon and Holly met about 7 years ago. Holly bounced into a venue Rhiannon was the weddings manager for at the time, fully prepared to dislike her. Spoiler alert, now we’re best friends and business partners.

And together we’ve both continuously surprised venues with how easy we are to work with, it’s truly one of our most consistent compliments (*tucks hair behind ear*) and we take that as a major win.

Here’s why…

🧩 We See Ourselves as Part of the Team

We know that venues and suppliers are not “in our way” - they’re our collaborators. The florists, the lighting crew, the bar staff, the venue coordinators - they all want the same thing we do: a wedding that flows beautifully, feels joyful, and leaves everyone saying “that was iconic.”

We never throw our weight around or act like we know better. (Unless it’s about ceremony chairs being in direct sunlight. Then we will fight.)

💌 We Communicate (Like, Really Well)

From clean timelines to clear contact sheets, venues consistently tell us how much they love how prepared and calm we are. We believe good communication is half the job, so we make sure everyone knows what’s happening, when, how and sometimes…why.

If your venue needs a detailed production schedule, a Plan B for rain, or just someone to WhatsApp at 8pm the night before - we’re that person. With emojis.

😌 We’re Chill (But Incredibly Organised)

You’ll never find us barking orders or demanding chandeliers be hung in structurally impossible places. We plan obsessively, so that we can be relaxed on the day. That means fewer surprises, fewer panics, and a lot more laughter.

We’re the kind of planners who light the candles, fix the broken shoe strap, brief the string quartet, and still remember your aunt’s name.

🕊️ We Don’t Step on Toes

Venues often have a very specific way of doing things and we respect that. If you’ve got preferred suppliers, timing limitations, layout restrictions, or ceremony rules, we’ll work with you, not around you.

If a couple wants something that’s not realistic for your venue, we’ll be the ones to gently steer them back on track.

🎉 We Bring the Energy (and the SNACKS)

We’re professional, SURE - but we’re also fun. You’ll often find us cracking jokes with the catering team, hyping up the flower girls, or sneaking Percy Pigs to the band.

We believe weddings should be joyful for everyone involved - not just the couple. Because then everyone works harder and better.

TL;DR: We’re Planners You’ll Want Back

So if you’re a venue who’s tired of chaotic planners and is looking for a creative, well-organised, team-playing duo to recommend to your couples…we’d love to chat.

And if you’re a couple looking for wedding planners who’ll work seamlessly with your venue, handle the boring bits, make the design look amazing, and still leave room for laughter then we might be your people.
